Late Tuesday at the YWCA

Today I drove down to Bellingham and met up with my sister, Erin, to see Late Tuesday play at the YWCA as part of the Bellingham Pop Music Festival to benefit Whatcom All-Ages Arts and Music. We saw four groups play (Late Tuesday, Panda & Angel, The Robot Ate Me, and 1985) and it was a very interesting mix. Panda & Angel was this interesting Emo group (that actually had some decent music, but I couldn’t get over the singing - too Emo) and The Robot Ate Me was surreal (his website is pretty funny) - Erin likened him to Andy Kaufman: not quite sure what is going on or how to handle it - good times, heh.

Of course there was the reason we went: the lovely ladies of Late Tuesday (I think I have a thing for Dana - I am such a dork I can’t believe I wrote that…). They, I think, put on one of their better performances: they all seemed to be “on”. They are always a lot of fun to see and hear, if you haven’t seen them before, check their site for upcoming shows (especially their Christmas performances, they have some great Christmas tunes).

Here are the pictures from the show (including two of The Robot Ate Me). I am using the new photo gallery plugin, IImage Gallery. Clicking an image will take you to a gallery of the set (or you can click here).

Enjoy! (Let me know if you think this gallery plugin is a good idea)

I’m glad you enjoyed them! Erin introduced me to them and I have enjoyed hearing them live 4 or 5 times now. If you want to hear any more, I have some for download: Ordinary, 118, To Not Be Let Down, Simply Beautiful, 23, Alison Krauss’ Down to the River to Pray.

Their personalities are only matched by their harmonies (if I may be cheesy for a second ;) ).

Hey Matt! That’s cool you made it down to Bellingham! I miss that town so much! Don’t get me wrong.. I’m loving my time in Guatemala but man.. there’s no place like home!!! I’ll also be excited to see Late Tuesday again! Just a little side note… I use to live down the street from the YWCA and took swim lessons there when I was younger! :) OH! and thanks for stopping by my blog.. good to hear from ya!

I am glad things are going well for you in Guatemala, I imagine it would be quite an experience! Bellingham is a pretty cool, layed back city. I might end up living there after I finish my masters here I might get my masters in education in WWU(either there or SPU). Good times at the YWCA!

Just finished my ninth week of teaching and things are going extremely well!! How is time passing so quickly?

I got rid of the shoutbox (for now) because it wasn't working right. Hopefully I will get that fixed soon. You may have noticed that I have been changing things around a bit. Hopefully this theme looks good and works well. If you notice any bugs or things that need to be fixed or just look better, just let me know (or leave a comment)! The header images (there are 34 in rotation right now!) are pictures that I have taken over the last few years.
