coComment

A few weeks ago I noticed that 40 had something called coComments up on his side bar that looked interesting. Over the past few weeks (although I have been quite busy lately, but I’m not dead!) I have been using it a bit and I really enjoy how it works. Essentially coComments allows you to keep track of comments you have made on other blogs (or your own as well). I have found that in browsing blogs I may leave a comment and then forget that I made it and never come back to it. coComments allows you to track the conversations and either have them posted in a sidebar or a separate page. You have control over how much is displayed. It is a pretty new service and they are still working out some of the bugs, but overall it has been quite helpful. If you aren’t a blogger but comment on blogs, you might find this useful as well.I have created a page: Matt Jones’ Blog Comments so you can see where I have recently commented. I also have a page at coComment that will display the different conversations. Check it out!

Cheers,
-Matt Jones

I have been enjoying it so far, too. I have been checking my coComment page just to see what I commented on last and then jump back to that blog to see if anyone else has commented. It would be great if everyone was using it. But, it will take a while for others to try it - I am sure.

Very cool, I just set it up for my blog too - and there’s a Greasemonkey Firefox plugin so you don’t have to remember to click the button with every comment.

Yeah, I definitely hope this catches on. Even if it doesn’t though, sure helps me remember where I have been! Ohh I like Firefox plugins! :) Thanks for the link Laura.

Just finished my ninth week of teaching and things are going extremely well!! How is time passing so quickly?

I got rid of the shoutbox (for now) because it wasn't working right. Hopefully I will get that fixed soon. You may have noticed that I have been changing things around a bit. Hopefully this theme looks good and works well. If you notice any bugs or things that need to be fixed or just look better, just let me know (or leave a comment)! The header images (there are 34 in rotation right now!) are pictures that I have taken over the last few years.
