I saw the (quite) lovely ladies of Late Tuesday tonight (6.10.05) at The Q Cafe. They put on an awesome show, I might even have to go see them in Burlington tomorrow at Common Ground.
Please see my previous post on Late Tuesday for more information and a few of their songs. Or you could just head over to latetuesday.com.
I took some pictures and have posted them here. They aren’t the best quality as I don’t really like to use the flash that often at concerts like this one because I feel that they are a bit distracting. If I go tomorrow night, maybe I will get some better shots.

Here is a quick video clip (5.94MB).
Clicking the following pictures will take you to a gallery or you can view them by “Reading full blog entry”.

Late Tuesday is Dana Little (vocals, keys), Tara Ward (vocals, guitar, keys) and Jocelyn Feil (vocals, guitar) of Bellingham, WA. |
Enjoy and shalom.
Hmmmm. It reminds me of that kooky song, “you say” by lita leob.
It could be worse, like getting dragged to a tearjerker at the theatre.
Not sure if I have heard that song… And hey, any time I can go so three way cute and intelligent girls (did I mention I have a crush on Jocelyn? hehe
) with some great harmonies and talent, I am down. I am secure enough in my masculinity!
IM THE REAL MATT JONES. YOUR JUST MIKE JONES.
Uh oh… Looks like All Caps just dropped in.
Heh, apparently he REALLY wanted me to know he was the “real” Matt Jones. Although, I am pretty sure that my driver’s license AND my passport say “Matt Jones”. heh
oooh.. you went to an LT concert!!! I’m so excited you found them and are advertising them!
I’ve been repping them for a little while now too. I left a post on the first Late Tuesday post you did. So read that!
Hey… and I wasn’t sure if you realized I changed to blogspot. Anywho… there should be a link with my name on this comment.
Hey Melissa! Great to hear from you, it has been a while!
I was excited to find out about them too! They put on a great show and I look forward to seeing them again. I think my sisters is going to see them out on Orcas Island, so I might head over that weekend too, we will have to see.
I have been quite impressed with all three of the girls as far as quality and control of their voices go, and yeah, Tara is definitely impressive. The only time I have heard Caitlin is on Late Tuesday’s first album but really enjoyed her there so I imagine I would solo as well!
Maybe I will see you at their next show!
PS - thanks for the status on Jocelyn, I still have to work on that.

Matt Jones’ Random Acts of Verbiage… » Round 10 on 14 Mar 2006 at 5:05 pm Said:
[...] Last night I drove down to Seattle and met up with Erin for Round 10 at the Freemont Abbey: an evening of music from John Van Deusen (and Braydn, both from the Lonely Forest), Joe Day (from Mindhead), and Benji Verdoes (from In Praise of Folly) to benefit The Nature Consortium’s Youth Programs. I was mainly there to see John but was also impressed by both Joe and Benji. Every time I see John perform, I am blown away by his abilities as a musician, song writer, and performer. Although he was a horrible tease, mentioning a new CD projects. But John’s dad, Rusty, squashed our hopes, at least for now. The work in progress (”God is Dead”) will be a welcome addition to his two amazing EPs. Benji seemed a little out of his element as he usually plays in a 10 piece band. That being said, he has some really interesting songs with some insightful lyrics. Checking out In Praise of Folly would probably be well worth it. Mindhead is a group that I had heard good thins about, never hadn’t actually heard them. If John is any indication, the group should be excellent. Plus, he was wearing a Late Tuesday shirt so he already had a plus in my book. The Seattle area has some great musicians! Since I have been in Canada, I haven’t been to the Round in quite a while, but if you would like, you can check out my other Round posts: Round 1: Late Tuesday, Sam Ashworth, Matt Slocum - Round 2: Dana Little, Gabe Archer, and Graham Travis - Round 3: Jocelyn Feil, Aaron Sprinkle, and Sherri Youngward. Also, you can check out my other blog posts of John’s music, pictures and video clips from previous shows.
