Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is Canada’s thanksgiving and last night Jackie invited a bunch of us Regent College “internationals” (as well as a few Canadians) over to the giant house (used to be a convent) that she lives in. I really enjoyed the evening, talking with friends and getting to know others. The food was described as “eclectic” and I tend to agree. We had a great variety that actually all worked quite well together. Thanks for the evening Jackie and happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians. :) I especially enjoyed Tim and Simon’s (as well as Dave and Ryan’s) charade rendition of “How to date at Regent”. Very well performed!

Sara (or the right) was co-host to the evening. Ryan and Dave seem to be enjoying themselves.

These pictures were “provided by” (read: stolen from) Jackie at Just Wandering. They are clickable for larger versions.

Also, a reminder for those wishing to participate in this week’s Christian Carnival hosted by yours truly, your submissions should be sent to ChristianCarnival [at] gmail [dot] com by Tuesday at midnight. It looks like a blast… only Canadians can be like a bunch of communists with all that
    socialized health care. :)

I guess people like the photos :) My traffic has been ramping up a bit lately because I am hosting the “Christian Carnival” so that could be part of it.

I’ve always found it funny how Canada is always just a bit ahead of America…

Thanksgiving is in October, America’s is in November
    Health insurance for everyone
    Better prescription prices
    Perfect neutrality in global circumstances

…*sigh* I’m thinking about moving to Canada just to get away from a trigger-happy president that can’t balance a budget or keep his words straight. Do you have any idea how many times Bush has made a joke but been laughed at not because the joke was funny, but rather because he tripped over what he was saying? So very sad…

I think I will just say that I disagree with the majority of that comment and leave it at that. :)
